What is Kybella?
Kybella is an FDA-approved treatment for submental fat, also known as a double chin. Submental fat is a rising cosmetic concern, and many people feel self-conscious about their profile and overall appearance. Kybella is an effective treatment for submental fat.* Create optimal balance in the face and neck with this injectable!
How does Kybella work?
Kybella contains deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that helps break down fat. The product breaks down fat cells and prevents future fat storage when administered under the chin. We can contour the neck, as submental fat begins to weaken so that the chin area is well-balanced with the rest of the face. Dermal fillers can be combined with Kybella to create the ultimate facial balance.
What should I expect during my appointment?
We recommend that you request a consultation to determine if Kybella is the right treatment option for you. During your treatment, we will mark out the area that will be treated with injections. We may use a numbing agent to make the procedure more comfortable and tolerable. Multiple injections with a small, fine needle will be made into the fatty tissues under the chin. The entire process only lasts a few minutes. You may experience warmth and swelling following your treatment, but it will fade eventually.
What can I expect from the results?
Everyone is different, and the number of injections and treatments will depend on the extent of your submental fullness. We recommend 3-5 treatment sessions to accomplish your desired results. Generally, we schedule treatments that are 6 weeks apart so that time can reveal your results.
